For the Love of Crochet, Knit, Friends, and Charity

My friends Anita Stoneman and Dianne Vought and I ( Colleen F Hoke ) started a group that is built around Friendship, Yarn and Charity Projects. We want to invite you all to join in on our quarterly friendship projects as well as our quarterly charity projects. Our goal is to create a team of crocheters and knitters to build friendship and share the love of our craft with one another by doing projects for charity and disaster relief efforts. We hope you will join us in this adventure, have fun, make friends, and create and share goodness while we enjoy our craft. We currently have a 12 x12 Granny Square Blanket Project as our “building friendships” project. 35, 12×12 squares each are needed to send to me and swap…the due date isn’t until September 1st – that is right about 3 squares a day AND if you don’t want/need an afghan – the size we are doing ( a queen size ) will make 3 baby blankets for donation to your local NICU. Our Charity project is the Preemie Project. They are holding a “Zoo in the NICU” hat and bootie drive for the month of June. Even if you can make one preemie animal hat – it is a great way to give back. You don’t have to participate in every project to be a member.
